Experience becomes evidence
OT-Praxis places a learner in a fictional industrial incident with ambiguity, operational pressure, and bounded authority. The learner’s requests, decisions, justifications, consequences, reflections, and transfer responses create a visible evidence trail.
A complete learning loop
Experiential learning connects concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation in a continuing learning cycle. OT-Praxis operationalizes that cycle as incident, evidence, decision, consequence, reflection, and changed-case transfer.
Experience becomes learning through curricular connection, continuous feedback, structured reflection, assessment, application, and active faculty oversight. The pilot therefore includes faculty review, structured prompts, and evidence-linked reporting rather than awarding credit for participation alone.
AI stays inside a human authority model
AI may role-play plant stakeholders or offer a hypothesis. It does not directly assign or alter final numeric scores. Learners must verify consequential recommendations against evidence and approved change boundaries. Faculty can inspect score evidence and add a review without overwriting the deterministic result.
Server-authoritative assessment
The protected pilot keeps hidden ground truth, deterministic rules, authoritative session state, and score calculation on the server. Learner actions append to a durable, hash-linked event trail in Sites D1. The public three-question preview uses a separate, intentionally incomplete rule set and reveals no pilot solution.
Transfer matters
Recall is not enough. After reflection, learners apply the underlying principle to a changed situation. The goal is evidence that a learner can recognize when and how a principle applies—not merely reproduce the previous answer.
Research qualification
Published sources support the rationale for work-embedded practice, reflection, transfer, and human verification. They are not results from OT-Praxis. Pilot outcomes will be measured directly and reviewed with participating faculty.
